The Pure 4 Story
It is the forth unit in IAL Mathematics
We can describe Pure 4 by saying that it includes
- Algebra & Functions
- Trigonometry
- Exponentials & Logarithms
- Differentiation
- Integration
- Numerical Methods
The first Pure 4 Exam using the new syllabus code WMA14/01 was in January 2020
- The assessment is 1 hour and 30 minutes
- The assessment is out of 75 marks
- Knowledge of the specifications for P1, P2 and P3, as well as their associated formulae, is assumed and may be tested.
HOWEVER, before the new code, there were two other codes that also included approximately the same content as PURE 4
1. Old International C34 (WMA02)
- C34 was a paper combining the content of the current P3 and P4
2. English Old Spec C4 (6666)
- C4 content aligns closely with the current P3 papers
